Our studio has been operational since 1996 and specializes in Mastering, Digital DJ Mixing, Studio Recordings, Final Mixing, Remixes, Megamixes and Commercials for Radio & Television. Our studio is equipped with the latest technologies to provide the best service possible.
Platforms
We operate both PC and MAC platforms with extensive knowledge on the various audio formats, operating procedures and studio use of both platforms.
Engineer
Petro Stathoussis (Static Plastic) has been a qualified Sound Engineer since 1990 beginning his career in 1987 at the SABC (South African Broadcasting Corporation). Trained at the SABC, he completed the RAB 1 - RAB 3 courses as well as various computer, broadcasting and production courses. Nominated twice for Best Production he has experience in both Studio Broadcasting, Radio Production and Outside Broadcasting. In 1996 he left the SABC to pursue his musical interest and established Phat Kat Records with then partner DJ Christos going on to produce numerous albums, loads of remixes, commercials and compilations. He has mastered and recorded 100s of albums, compilations and vinyl releases working with some of the most prolific South African and international artists. In addition, he is also a qualified MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) with extensive knowledge of Networking and Studio/Computer Integration. He has also done contract work for ABSA bank during the 1999/2000 change over for Y2K compliancy, built and setup the current House Afrika website and also collaborates on the AfrodesiaMP3.com website.
